Radioplayer France added 12 new stations to its app offerings, bringing the current total to 217 radio stations, 600 web stations and 124,000 podcasts.
Of the dozen, two stations broadcast exclusively in DAB+ (AirZen Radio and Radio Maria France), five are associative stations (RCF, Bretagne 5, CFM Radio, Radio Espérance and Phare FM) and five are local (R’ La Radio Station, Riviera Radio, Premium Radio, Sensations FM and Pyrénées FM).
“France has the most diversified radio landscape in the world today and we are doing everything to ensure that the Radioplayer offer is as wide and representative as possible,” said Jean-Éric Valli, president of Radioplayer France. “As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of radio, Radioplayer France appears to be a major evolution, coordinated by the stations in order to keep up with new listening habits and new broadcasting modes.”
Radioplayer France is part of the Radioplayer Worldwide network, a pan-industry partnership that includes France, Germany, U.K., Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Holland, Sweden and Canada.
The Radioplayer apps are supported on smartphones and tablets (Apple iOS, Google Android, Samsung, Huawei), smart home devices (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Bose, Sonos, Amazon Fire Stick), smart TVs (Android TV, soon on Samsung and Apple TV) and the Apple Watch.
