SwissRadioDay has confirmed that Swiss Federal Councilor Albert Rösti, head of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications, will participate in this year’s event, which takes place Aug. 27 at the Kaufleuten venue in Zurich. Organizers said Rösti’s participation highlights the role of radio within Switzerland’s media landscape, including public broadcaster SRG and the country’s private, regional, local and non-commercial radio stations.
SwissRadioDay 2026 will feature a morning program focused on issues affecting the Swiss radio industry. Organizers said the agenda will include industry updates, guest speakers and discussion sessions, with details of the program to be released later this month. Following the conference sessions, attendees will have opportunities to meet with broadcasters, suppliers and industry representatives during networking events, including a lunch session and reception.
Organizers have also arranged accommodation offers through partners Zurich Tourism and Kuoni Tumlare for attendees traveling to the event. Participating hotels include Marktgasse Hotel, Park Hyatt Zurich and CitizenM Zurich, which serves as the event’s official hotel.
SwissRadioDay is organized by the Swiss radio industry and is supported by a range of industry organizations and companies, including Swisscom Broadcast, SRG, VSP, RRR, Unikom, Digris, Corall, SwissMediaCast, Audion, SUISA, Swissperform and IFPI. According to the organizers, attendance is free for Swiss radio stations, industry partners and media students thanks to support from the event’s sponsors.
