Commercial radio reaches 12.4 million weekly listeners in Australia

The National Association of Broadcasters has named Paul S. Shulins its 2025 Radio Engineering Achievement Award recipient. He will be honored at the We Are Broadcasters Awards on April 8 during the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
Shulins, co-owner of Over The Air RF Consulting, has spent 45 years in radio engineering. His work includes TV and FM coverage studies, FCC applications, frequency coordination and thermal imaging for broadcast towers. He has been a pioneer in using drone technology for infrared measurements, helping broadcasters improve performance while reducing costs.
Previously, Shulins served as vice president and chief technology officer at Burk Technology and spent nearly three decades leading engineering for Greater Media’s Boston FM stations. A longtime member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers, he has also been a key contributor to industry conferences and publications, including the NAB Engineering Handbook.
