Tieline will introduce the Bridge-IT XTRA II audio codec at the 2025 NAB Show, marking its debut at the event. The Bridge-IT II codec first appeared at NAB 2024, and this year’s Las Vegas event will offer attendees the initial opportunity to see both the Bridge-IT II and Bridge-IT XTRA II in action.
Both codecs are designed for:
- Home studios and remote broadcasts
- Studio-to-transmitter links
- Studio-to-studio links
- Multi-unicasting and multicasting applications
“The Bridge-IT XTRA II premiered at IBC2024, where it received a Best in Show award,” said Jacob Daniluck, Tieline VP of sales Americas. “Following strong interest in Bridge-IT II at last year’s NAB Show, we’re looking forward to showcasing Bridge-IT XTRA II for the first time at this year’s event.”
Both models retain features from the first-generation Bridge-IT, including a front-panel screen and keypad for menu navigation, XLR analog and digital AES inputs, a range of encoding options and support for multi-unicast and multicast connections. New features include:
- Native support for AES67, ST2110-30, ST2022-7, Livewire, Ravenna and AMWA NMOS IS-04/IS-05
- Two full-duplex mono connections or full-duplex stereo
- Multiple Ethernet and AoIP ports
- Automatic failover to another connection, HTTP stream or audio file playback
- Support for wireless cellular modems
The codecs also support SNMP for STL links, SmartStream PLUS redundant streaming and Fuse-IP data aggregation. They are SIP-compatible with devices that meet EBU N/ACIP Tech 3326, 3347 and 3368 standards. The ToolBox HTML5 web GUI and optional Cloud Codec Controller software provide real-time monitoring and remote management.
Tieline will showcase both codecs at the 2025 NAB Show, booth N349.
