Bauer Media Audio has announced it is to launch a new audio product and brand called Rayo, which, it says, “re-invents radio for an online, on-demand environment to meet the ever-changing needs of listeners and commercial partners across Europe.”
Available initially as an app on the web and, over time, available in other online spaces, it will unite all Bauer’s audio with a relevant content offer in each market.
Bauer says Rayo will present new opportunities for commercial partners to reach audiences through bespoke sponsorship and content partnerships and targeted data-led digital audio campaigns at scale through Octave Audio, audioXi and Audiostream — Bauer Media Audio’s digital audio advertising platforms across Europe.
Richard Dawkins, president of audio for Bauer Media Group, says, “Rayo is a step-change for Bauer Media Audio, allowing us to super-charge innovation and to compete in an increasingly global landscape.”
Rayo will soft launch in the United Kingdom as an iOS and Android app and on the web later this year.
