CRA unveils ‘Audio x Mixed Media Modeling’ session at Heard 2025
Tech Focus: Ferncast says that the way to make a broadcaster’s life easier is to use systems that support the broadest possible range of inputs and outputs instead of relying on format conversion when communicating between systems.
For that mission, Ferncast offers its customizable STL Slim Redundant.
STL Slim Redundant can be equipped with any PCIe or USB audio interface that might be required and supports an extensive range of audio-over-IP formats out-of-the-box. STL Slim Redundant is similarly flexible on the output end, supporting various audio streaming formats, from classic RTP to new standards like SRT and RIST.
The company explains that the unit is packed into the classic 19-inch form factor with redundant PSUs to ensure easy logistics and reliability, making it an ideal solution to simplify an audio network and ensure easy communication with the remote end.
