World Radio Alliance releases latest global data on radio’s dominance

Broadcast equipment maker Lawo was in the mix at the big Concert de Paris Bastille Day concert in Paris, June 14, helping out French national broadcasters, including Radio France, along with the Eurovision network. Also being celebrated was the arrival of the Olympic flame.
For Radio France Lawo equipment in use for the in-house live production included a 48-fader mc²96 console (orchestra mix and FOH); 32-fader mc²56 (soloists and choir mix); 32-fader mc²56 with a 16-fader extension (stage monitors); and a pair of A_UHD Cores to corral the feeds. Lawo’s Home software was deployed for control.
Radio France also had on OB truck on hand. It was kitted out with an mc²66 MkII console to handle the broadcast feeds for radio, TV and Eurovision. Besides France, the production was broadcast live to 10 other countries via Eurovision.
A release provides the names of several Radio France involved in the production onsite: Nadège Antonini, Stéphane Thouvenin, Alice Legros, Stéphane Desmons, Charles Bouticourt, Laurent Fracchia and Arnaud Moral.
