DTS report highlights importance of vehicle ownership and third-space role
Just in time for the IBC season, Ferncast has announced a new version of its flagship aixtream digital audio processing and management platform.
According to the company, Version 3.8 “offers a wide range of features designed to enhance audio quality for broadcasters.”
Leading that list is full integration with Thimeo Audio Technology’s well-known Stereo Tool processor. This also adds MicroMPX, µMPX, composite encoding for direct digital STL delivery.
In addition there are improvements to the Fraunhofer xHE-AAC codec used.
Another treat is Ferncast’s next-generation loudness control, ngl.C, aimed at audio-on-demand audio playout level control.
Last but not least Ferncast adds: “version 3.8 includes numerous improvements, specific feature additions, and general bug fixes. These include, but are not limited to support for smallest possible HLS segment lengths (down to 1s); WebRTC listen-in now allows multiple client listeners; improved AES67 compatibility with systems from other vendors; and applets can now be triggered with an action delay.”
The new release is available now or can be seen at the Ferncast stand at IBC, 8.F80.
