Commercial Radio & Audio and Triton Digital have released the April 2025 Australian Podcast Ranker, with “The Mel Robbins Podcast” topping the list at more than 1.2 million monthly listeners. The SiriusXM-produced show returned to first place ahead of LiSTNR’s long-running “Hamish & Andy” and “ABC News Top Stories.”
“Mamamia Out Loud” and “Shameless” rounded out the top five, both attracting more than half a million listeners. For the first time since April 2024, the “News” genre reclaimed the number one genre spot with 4.9 million monthly listeners, overtaking “Society & Culture” and “True Crime.” “Sports” and “Comedy” followed in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
ARN/iHeart remained Australia’s leading podcast publisher, reaching just over 4 million listeners across its catalog. It was followed by LiSTNR (SCA), SiriusXM Podcast Network and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
LiSTNR also topped the sales representative rankings, with its portfolio — including audiochuck, Wondery, NBCUniversal News Group and DM Podcasts — reaching nearly 8 million combined monthly listeners. ARN/iHeart followed, representing networks including Audioboom, AdLarge Media and The Athletic.
The Australian Podcast Ranker provides monthly insight into the country’s top 200 podcasts, 20 publishers and 20 sales representatives. It is commissioned by CRA and compiled by Triton Digital, using measurement methods aligned with IAB Podcast Measurement Technical Guidelines.
