Mo Islam, host of the English-language Saudi podcast “The Mo Show,” will take part in The Podcast Show 2025, taking place May 21–22 at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.
His participation marks a notable moment for Saudi Arabia’s emerging presence in the international podcasting sector. With more than half the country’s population under 35, demand is growing for audio content that reflects contemporary Saudi life through personal and authentic storytelling.
“The Mo Show” features bilingual conversations with Saudi guests from diverse backgrounds, offering a glimpse into the Kingdom’s cultural and social transformation. Islam describes his role as listener-first, focusing on his guests’ stories rather than performance. “This isn’t just about Saudi stories,” he said. “It’s about universal conversations through a Saudi lens; a podcast format born to bridge perspectives, and I’m honoured to bring that spirit to The Podcast Show stage in London.”
The session will be moderated by Darryl von Däniken, founder of the IRF Group and advisor to the Saudi Media Forum, where he curates its international speaker programme. “Mo represents a new wave of Saudi voices reshaping the narrative through podcasting, and I’m honoured to help amplify these stories — especially at an event that’s defining the future of audio,” said von Däniken.
The Podcast Show brings together creators, platforms and industry leaders from around the world and is seen as a key forum for defining global trends in podcasting.
