The shortlist for the 2025 International Women’s Podcast Awards has been announced, featuring nominees across 10 categories and reflecting the event’s growing global reach. This year’s awards attracted entries from a record 35 countries, including Senegal, Qatar and the Philippines.
Now in its fifth year, the awards will take place on Tuesday, June 17, at the BBC Radio Theatre, with a global livestream available. The event celebrates standout moments in audio, recognising the creative work of podcasters worldwide, from independent producers to established teams.
Over one-third of entrants made use of the IWPA Bursary Fund, supported by BBC Sounds, Amazon Music and Wondery. The fund, launched in 2022, offers complimentary entry and ticket options to those who may face financial barriers.
The judging panel — made up of podcast and audio professionals from around the world — praised the quality and breadth of this year’s submissions. You can view the complete list of nominees here.
A limited number of tickets for the event remain available, including via the bursary fund. For more information and updates, visit the International Women’s Podcast Awards website here.
