In RedTech’s latest “2 Mins of Tech” video from IBC2026 in Amsterdam, Max Pandini, audio processing specialist at Telos Alliance, introduces the company’s new Omnia XII broadcast audio processor. He explains how changing listener expectations are reshaping the role of broadcast processing.
Pandini notes that the neighboring button on a car radio may now lead to Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube rather than another station. Although a processor cannot create market share, he argues that a distinctive, contemporary sound can strengthen loyalty and keep a station’s P1 listeners tuned in longer.
Designed for FM, HD Radio and DAB, Omnia XII aims to deliver clarity and competitive loudness across a wider frequency range. Telos Alliance has also made the flagship processor smaller and more affordable as stations balance audio performance against cost and limited rack space.
