Podimo has appointed Georgia Brown as chief content officer. In the global role, Brown will lead the company’s content strategy across its subscription platform and the newly launched Podimo Studios division.
Brown, who joins the Podimo leadership team and will be based in London, will oversee the production and global rollout of original podcast, video and digital content. Podimo says Studios will support new revenue streams for creators and partners through licensing, brand partnerships, live events and international expansion. The company confirmed that its recent acquisitions — Podads, Tonny Media and Dag en Nacht Media — will now operate under the Studios umbrella.
Amazon experience
Brown previously served as head of Amazon Studios, Europe, where she helped expand Prime Video’s presence across seven markets. She has also held senior content roles at Fremantle, Shine Group and BBC Worldwide.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Podimo at such an exciting time,” said Brown. “With Europe’s creator economy projected to grow from $14.3 billion to $112.4 billion by 2034, the future of content lies in convergence — between traditional entertainment and the dynamic, fast-growing creator economy.”
Brown was brought on by Sachin Doshi, Podimo’s current chief content officer, who will step down in September. Doshi will join the company’s board and continue to advise on content and platform strategy.
“Podimo was built on strengthening relationships between creators and their audiences, helping them earn more and own their value,” said Podimo founder and CEO Morten Strunge. “Under Georgia’s creative leadership and backed by Podimo’s strong tech and product foundation, we are positioning ourselves at the forefront of premium storytelling and platform innovation.”
