Lawo has announced the end-of-production for Power Core Revision 2, with a last-time buy window open until July 31, 2025. The company says all related components and slot-in cards remain fully compatible and are not affected.
Power Core is the backbone of Lawo’s current radio on-air solutions and an important product for its audio and video infrastructure portfolio. Lawo will continue to offer support for Power Core Rev 2 units according to its terms and conditions of sale. However, due to supply chain complexities, servicing will be limited to components still in stock. A limited number of replacement products may also be available while supplies last.
The company highlights Power Core Rev 3 as the successor, introduced in 2023 with increased streaming capabilities, native 96 kHz support and enhanced flexibility. Lawo says Rev 3 builds on the strengths of its predecessor, supporting up to 512 AoIP channels and serving as both a modular conversion gateway and a remote production I/O with integrated and remote-controllable DSP.
