Austrian private broadcaster kronehit has selected Lawo and SLG Broadcast to modernize its studio infrastructure.

The agreement was announced during the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas, where representatives from the three companies met at the Lawo booth. Under the project, kronehit’s studios will be upgraded with Lawo diamond audio mixing consoles, while SLG Broadcast will oversee system design, configuration and implementation.
The broadcaster’s existing relationship with SLG Broadcast and Lawo dates back more than a decade. In 2015, SLG Broadcast deployed kronehit’s broadcast center infrastructure using Lawo sapphire mixing consoles. Subsequent projects included the introduction of Lawo Power Core-based systems, expansion of studio I/O capacity and the deployment of a Ravenna-based audio-over-IP network.
A targeted investment
According to the companies, the latest phase of the project will include the installation of five Lawo diamond consoles and five Power Core audio engines. The existing Lawo A__UHD Core infrastructure will also be expanded into a fully redundant configuration intended to support the broadcaster’s production environment.
The companies said the modernization project is designed to support IP-based radio production workflows, centralized system management and scalable studio operations. The broadcaster’s existing Lawo infrastructure already includes sapphire consoles, IP routing systems, VisTool management software and AoIP network architecture.
SLG Broadcast said its role in the project extends beyond technology deployment to include workflow planning, process optimization and long-term operational support. The company also said its in-house SLG Broadcast Suite monitoring tools will be integrated into the system environment.
“For kronehit, the decision represents a targeted investment in flexibility, automation and future resilience,” the companies said in the release.
