Wheatstone will introduce Wheatstream Duo, a compact and affordable audio streaming appliance, at the 2025 NAB Show. Designed for broadcasters, podcasters and content streamers, the unit offers the reliability, audio processing and metadata tools of the company’s high-capacity Wheatstream appliance but scaled for one- or two-channel applications.
“We’ve kept all the reliability and capability of our high-capacity appliance in use by larger facilities but scaled it for affordability,” said Kelly Parker, Wheatstone’s director of product development.
Wheatstream Duo is a Linux-based appliance that eliminates the need for a Windows-based PC. It integrates with analog, digital and AoIP studios, including WheatNet IP and AES67-compatible systems. It features an HTML5 web interface, supports standard CDN and streaming platforms and adapts metadata from most playback automation systems.
Like other Wheatstone appliances, Wheatstream Duo includes peak limiting and audio processing tools designed to optimize streamed audio across various internet links. It accepts two input streams of analog, AES3, AES67 or WheatNet IP, each capable of four output streams for a total of eight.
Wheatstone will demonstrate Wheatstream Duo at the 2025 NAB Show, booth W1654.
