Broadcasters renew push for U.S. AM radio legislation on Capitol Hill
The Telos Alliance has unveiled upgraded Z/IPStream products.
The Z/IPStream X/20 (below) and R/20 (above) are successors to the X/2 and R/2 models respectively.
Telos explains that the software-based X/20 streaming processor “is designed for broadcasters who understand that streaming audio quality and reliability are just as important as terrestrial transmission.”
The hardware R/20 is a stream encoder and processor provides “multiformat stream-encoding, audio processing, and watermarking for up to eight audio programs, all in a single 1RU chassis.”
Telos Alliance Omnia Product Manager. Geoff Steadman said, “As the audience for streaming audio continues to grow, broadcasters are relying upon tools like our Z/IPStream platform to process, watermark, and encode audio more than ever.”
He added, “Z/IPStream X/20 and R/20 provide us with the ability to offer more features, options, and processing choices, now and in the future, all with the goal of helping our customers create their best possible content.”
For current Z/IPStream users, Telos says, “Current Z/IPStream X/2 and R/2 customers wishing to take advantage of these new options and any future enhancements or updates will need to upgrade their existing products to X/20 and R/20, which they can do at no charge through Oct. 31, 2024, by contacting their Telos Alliance representative.” See them at Stand 8.B48.
