Sennheiser Spectera sits at center of NEP Australia’s audio overhaul
Genelec has expanded its global network of experience centers by opening a new location in Seoul. Visitors to the Seoul center will receive expert advice on Genelec technology and experience high-quality critical listening environments, from stereo to immersive audio. The center joins Genelec’s other locations across Europe, the Americas and Asia, aiming to help customers experience the best in sound reproduction.
Located in Seoul’s Jongro area, the experience center is a collaboration between Genelec and local distribution partner SAMA Sound. The center showcases a range of solutions from Genelec’s Professional Audio, Installed Sound and Home Audio portfolios. SAMA Sound’s Genelec product manager Wonjoo Lee and tech specialist Jaehyuk Han offer personal demonstrations and advice for customers by appointment.
Three distinct zones
The Seoul location features three distinct zones:
- Immersive room: Equipped with Genelec’s UNIO monitoring ecosystem, this room allows visitors to experience seamless in-room and personal headphone monitoring. A 9320A Reference Controller serves as the hub for both a 7.1.4 in-room Smart Active Monitoring system — featuring 8351B three-way coaxial monitors and W371A woofers — and personal headphone monitoring. The setup is calibrated via GLM loudspeaker manager software, demonstrating how UNIO bridges in-room and personal monitoring.
- Demonstration room: This room offers stereo systems for professionals and audiophiles. Visitors can audition Genelec’s professional studio monitors with and without subwoofers. At the same time, Home Audio enthusiasts can experience the 6040R floor-standers and the entire range of G series loudspeakers and F series subwoofers.
- Smart IP zone: This area allows integrators, consultants and users to explore Genelec’s Smart IP family of PoE installation loudspeakers. These speakers operate via a single CAT cable for audio, power and loudspeaker management, offering scalability, flexibility and quick installation for various applications.
