The Tahkovuori resort and sports center is a year-round tourism magnet near Kuopio, Finland. It features lush forests and lakes. Atop the highest ground around, Tahko mountain, the Panorama Hotel offers luxury and spectacular views.
Inside the hotel and the individual suites Genelec speakers provide audio output. Scattered throughout are 4410, 4420 and 4430 two-way speakers from Genelec’s Smart IP installation line along with a handful of 7050 subwoofers. Genelec’s Smart IP Manager helped design, configure and run the audio-over-IP network system.
Many of the speakers are finished Genelec’s custom RAW rough recycled aluminum finish.
Juha Jäppinen, co-owner of local integrator Viking Pro, said, “The loudspeakers were to be used in the suites, as well as in the restaurant, indoor spa areas, meeting room, lobby and toilets.
