
Genelec’s 9320A SAM Reference Controller has won a NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award in the Production Essentials category. The 40th annual TEC Awards took place on Jan. 23, 2025, at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif.
The award winners were chosen by professionals across the pro audio, live event and music industries.

The TEC Awards, presented annually at The NAMM Show, recognize individuals, companies and innovations in technical and creative audio production. The NAMM Foundation also honors industry pioneers through the TECnology Hall of Fame.
Integrating in-room and headphone monitoring

The Genelec 9320A SAM Reference Controller integrates in-room and headphone monitoring features into a single touchpoint for the UNIO ecosystem. It manages multiple Smart Active Monitoring systems, from stereo to immersive, and includes a factory-calibrated reference microphone for automated calibration and control via GLM software.
The 9320A supports up to four SAM systems and one pair of headphones, operating at calibrated levels per EBU R128, ATSC A/85 and SMPTE RP200 standards. It integrates with any DAW or audio interface and features analog, AES/EBU and USB connectivity. It functions as a high-quality A-D and D-A converter. Its reference-grade headphone output provides linearity and dynamic range and can be paired with the Aural ID 2.0 plug-in for personalized headphone monitoring.
