German high-end music and sound contractor KeuleSound recently refitted its remote/OB truck for Dolby Atmos, said to be Germanyâs first one Atmos-capable. A key part of that refit is Genelec speakers.
The 7.1.4 configuration includes three 8341A speakers for LCR, eight 8330A monitors covering surrounds and overhead audio and a 7360A subwoofer with a 9301B multichannel interface handling the bass management.

Martin Staffe, son of KeuleSoundâs founder, said, âThe Genelec monitors are so precise. If thereâs a bad edit, theyâll reveal it. I now record every concert in Atmos and show people how it transforms their listening experience. Itâs like sitting in the room with the audience. You can make sure people feel the full emotional impact of the music.â
He added, âWith Genelec, I could get a complete system solution that would handle all aspects of room adaptation. You have the option to switch the listening position. I can set up a sweet spot for the desk, then move it to a different place for the tonmeister (supervising sound engineer) sitting behind me.â
