CRA unveils ‘Audio x Mixed Media Modeling’ session at Heard 2025
Beasley Media Group rock station 93.3 WMMR-FM announced that the 27th annual Preston & Steve Camp Out for Hunger raised nearly 770,000 kilograms of food and more than $995,710 to support needy individuals and families. Proceeds from the event benefit local hunger relief efforts through Philabundance, the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization, which rescues, acquires, and distributes food to those in need while advocating for policies that improve food access.
From Monday, Dec. 2, at 6 a.m. through Friday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m., morning show hosts Preston & Steve camped out and broadcast live from Xfinity Live! at the Wells Fargo Center Complex in South Philadelphia. The weeklong event encouraged listeners and businesses from the tri-state area to contribute food and monetary donations.
The event featured appearances from dozens of local and national celebrities, performers and athletes, and live music each morning by house bands and special performances from Return to Dust, The Hooters, Don McCloskey and Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie.
“Broadcasting is very powerful,” said WMMR Program Director Chuck Damico. “There is no greater example of using those powers for good than Preston & Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger. Everyone at WMMR is so thankful for everyone who donated, no matter how large or small, and for all who helped make it happen.”
