CRA unveils ‘Audio x Mixed Media Modeling’ session at Heard 2025
John Masuku, a regular contributor to RedTech and part of the core team covering audio broadcasting in Africa, has published a book — “Memoirs of a Cross Generational Zimbabwean Broadcaster.” Masuku is a BBC-trained veteran Zimbabwean journalist and radio trainer who has worked for both public and private media.
Masuku covers his formative years in a time of significant social and political upheaval and his broadcasting journey against the backdrop of the emerging nascent state of Zimbabwe and its turbulent early history.
The book showcases his life’s work, which spans decades of dedication to broadcasting and media professionalism and his efforts to uphold ethical and impactful journalism. It also highlights Masuku’s emphasis on mentoring and supporting younger generations of broadcasters, including advocating for the inclusion of Zimbabwean women in the media industry.
We’re proud to have him on our writing team and wish him well with the book.
