Aeranti-Corallo marks 50 years of Italian local broadcasting at RadioTV Forum
Beasley Media Group‘s Classic Rock station 102.9 WMGK raised more than $138,900 during its 20th annual Veterans Radiothon in support of the Veterans Multi-Service Center in Philadelphia.
The station held the fundraiser on June 12 and broadcast live from Beasley Media Group Philadelphia’s Event Center. Morning show hosts Paul Kelly, Tony Harris and Kristen Herrmann led the event, while volunteers accepted donations by phone and listeners also contributed online and through Venmo.
The event also welcomed back its founder, former WMGK morning host and Radio Hall of Fame inductee John DeBella, who launched the radiothon in 2007. DeBella joined the broadcast throughout the day to encourage listeners to support veterans and their families.
According to Beasley Media Group, this year’s total exceeded the amount raised in 2025. The company said listeners, advertisers and local business partners contributed to the fundraising effort.
Paul Blake, vice president and market manager of Beasley Media Group Philadelphia, said, “We are incredibly grateful to our listeners, clients, volunteers, and the entire MGK team for helping make this year’s Veterans Radiothon such a tremendous success. For 20 years, this event has demonstrated the extraordinary generosity of the Philadelphia community and its commitment to supporting the men and women who have served our country. We are especially honored to have welcomed John DeBella back for this milestone anniversary.”
Beasley Media Group said the Veterans Multi-Service Center will use the funds to support housing, employment, wellness and other services for veterans across the Greater Philadelphia region.
