Genelec has tapped Audio-Technica France to handle the French distribution of its studio and AV loudspeaker lines. Gilles Pétrotey will join the Audio-Technica team to spearhead Genelec sales in the region. This new distribution partnership is effective March 1, 2021.
Audio-Technica already handles the distribution of Genelec products in the Netherlands and Spain. The companies note that this move further strengthens their relationship, which will also benefit from the three decades of pro audio experience that Pétrotey brings.
Pétrotey has previously held senior positions at Yamaha, Beyer, Lexicon and the TC Group. He then joined the Music Tribe organization to oversee Western European sales. He is an accomplished musician with a deep knowledge of many market segments and a wealth of industry connections in music recording, broadcast and AV installation.
His appointment enables Audio-Technica France to expand Genelec’s regional brand presence, embrace new business opportunities and both support and engage with local customers more effectively.
