Yellowtec has added a pop shield to its M!ka product repertoire. It is specifically designed for the M!ka mic arm, or any other mic boom with a 5/8-inch thread. The suitably named M!ka PopShield is designed to prevent a microphone from oversteering when confronted with the speech or singing of extreme sounds in its close range.
This will come as a comfort to presenters with a habit of over-projecting their P, B, D and Ts, with the inevitable “popping.”
The M!ka PopShield also has a gooseneck to help position it between the mic and the presenter or singer.
