Xperi Inc. has announced financial results for the third quarter ended Sept. 30., 2022. The three-month period was groundbreaking for the United States-based tech giant after being listed on the New York Stock Exchange on Oct. 3.
“The third quarter marked an exciting turning point in our history as we successfully completed our spin-off into a new standalone publicly traded company,” said Xperi CEO Jon Kirchner. “We are extremely pleased with key customer wins during the quarter, demonstrating increased traction and momentum on strategic growth initiatives within our Media Platform, IPTV, and Connected Car businesses.”
The company reported revenue of US$121.6 million during the third quarter, representing a 3% increase from $117.7 million in the year-ago period.
The earnings release also cites several key operating achievements during the period, including the launch of Xperi’s DTS AutoStage infotainment platform with four automotive OEMs: Hyundai, Genesis, Kia, and a leading EV manufacturer.
DTS AutoStage is designed to provide personalized audio and video to connected cars by combining linear broadcast with IP for a richer in-cabin experience. The company says the move expands its footprint in the connected car market.
