At the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas, William “Dub” Irvin, managing director and vice president at WideOrbit, demonstrated WO Aurora Web Studio and its Live Mic feature for 2 Mins of Tech. WO Aurora is a browser-based approach to radio automation that allows presenters to go live using a microphone, a laptop and an internet connection.
WideOrbit positions WO Aurora as the next evolution of its WO Automation for Radio platform, supporting cloud, on-premise and hybrid deployment. The Web Studio interface shifts key control functions into the browser, which the company indicates can reduce the complexity typically associated with remote broadcasting.
The demonstration highlighted how the approach could support more mobile workflows and streamlined operations in radio environments.
