
Triton Digital has published its U.S. Podcast Ranker for December 2024, covering the reporting period from Dec. 2 to Dec. 29, as measured by its Podcast Metrics service.
The iHeart Audience Network retained the #1 position on the Top Sales Networks Report with 62.7 million average weekly downloads and 17.8 million average weekly users. NPR ranked #2 with 24.5 million average weekly downloads and 5.8 million average weekly users, followed by the Audacy Podcast Network at #3 with 11.9 million average weekly downloads and 4.4 million average weekly users.
The top three podcasts by downloads remained consistent, with ‘NPR News Now’ (NPR) at #1, “Up First” (NPR) at #2, and “The Dan Bongino Show” (Cumulus Podcast Network) at #3. The same podcasts also ranked as the top three based on listeners.
Several new titles debuted in December, including “24/7 News: The Latest” (iHeart Audience Network), “The Adam Friedland Show Podcast” (Audioboom), and “Ear Biscuits with Rhett & Link” (Audacy Podcast Network), which ranked in both downloads and listeners. Other debuts by downloads included “This Is Important” (iHeart Audience Network), “Headline News from The Associated Press” (Audioboom), and “TigerBelly” (All Things Comedy). Newcomers among listeners included “Mobituaries with Mo Rocca” (iHeart Audience Network), “Sleep With Me” (Soundrise/PRX), and “Otherworld” (Audacy Podcast Network).
