Radio Botswana upgrades with Calrec’s IP-native Type R mixing system
The Inovonics Model 677 Triple Tuner is an unusual rack beast. It offers three onboard tuners, “each one programmable for either AM, FM or NOAA reception. Each receiver has a balanced monaural XLR audio output to serve as EAS monitor, or off-air monitor throughout the broadcast facility,” the company explains.
Packed into a half-rack size is a jog wheel, front-panel LCD screen and an LED meter. It can be controlled locally or remotely via a web browser from any device. Frequency, received signal strength, signal-to-noise ratio and program and dynamics level are monitored.
The 677 can also handle basic monitor trips such as audio loss, low signal, RDS PI error and alert tone.
Alarms can be sent by email or SMS. The email can be targeted to specific recipients while the SNMP traps sent to three destinations. Logs are downloadable.
One of the tuners can be directed to stream its signal.
