Inovonics has introduced the INOmini 704 Dynamic RDS Encoder, the company’s second-generation INOmini RDS Encoder. The 704 is a dedicated hardware solution in a compact 1/3-rack profile, offering radio broadcasters an easy and reliable way to add dynamic RDS messaging. It will debut publicly at the 2024 NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 14–17.
The model 704 is somewhat historic for Inovonics in that it replaces the 703, the first INOmini product produced by the manufacturer and introduced at the NAB Show in 2009. “In designing the 704, we were challenged with producing a compact Dynamic RDS Encoder that is feature-rich but still at an attractive price,” said Ben Barber, president and CEO. “Setup and programming of the INOmini 704 is easy and straightforward. The dynamic web interface’s full diagnostics make this a game-changer! For use on mono or stereo stations, the 704 is sure to please our industry,” he added.
The 704 is compatible with all standard playout systems. It identifies the radio station by format, displays the station’s “street name”, and continuously updates the artist and song title as provided by the playout system through a network connection.
Inovonics says the INOmini 704 Dynamic RDS Encoder is currently in stock and available for purchase.
