World Radio Alliance releases latest global data on radio’s dominance

Tech Focus: WorldCast Systems has expanded its Ecreso FM AiO Series transmitter range with a new 2 kW model. The company says the compact 3U transmitter integrates multiple onboard software, including an audio/MPX over IP decoder, RDS encoder, sound processing and web streaming capabilities.
Designed with built-in redundancy, the 2 kW model boasts dual-hot-swappable power supply units plus two fans and RF pallets. This ensures continuous system operation in the event of component failures.
The 2 kW features version 3.3.0, applicable across the entire AiO Series range. This version introduces significant advancements for SFN applications, including integrating a GPS receiver for internal clock references and 10 MHz and 1PPS outputs for peripheral equipment. The APT IP decoder now features SynchroStream technology, guaranteeing audio content synchronization over the network.
Additionally, the decoder includes a new hot standby mode for automatic stream switching in case of connection loss, ensuring uninterrupted broadcast.
The company adds that with its blend of innovative features, the Ecreso FM AiO Series is an ideal choice for broadcasters aiming to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership while delivering superior audio quality.
