Four speakers have been announced for this year’s SwissRadioDay, Aug. 28, at Kaufleuten in Zurich. A release offered a group overview, “What makes radio brands successful in 2025? How does radio compete with social media? Which content counts — and how do we ensure journalistic diversity in a centralized media landscape?”
They are: Yvonne Malak, founder, My Radio; Maria Mpalaoura, founder, Mpalaoura.de; Katja Ostrowsky, founder, Radio.de; and Jeremias Schnyder, board member, Junge Journalistinnen & Journalisten Schweiz, a Swiss journalism group.
According to the press release, Malak “will present an in-depth analysis of formats — which ones are still capable of generating audiences and which are doomed to disappear.”
The release said Mpalaoura will explain “why radio is often stronger than social media in the sales environment — if it leverages its advantages correctly.”
It added that Ostrowsky will “reveal the key factors for the success of audio content, whether streamed or broadcast on FM.” and Schnyder will examine “how young journalists cope with centralized editorial teams and the growing pressure to innovate.”
