TBC Media Ltd., the organizers of the upcoming Radio TechCon show, has announced the regular “bursary scheme,” e.g. subsidies, free tickets, financial aid, is available again for this year’s Nov. 23 London event for those who qualify.
The announcement said, “The event prides itself on building community connection and reserves around 10% of places for its bursary scheme.”
It elaborated, “This scheme enables people who love radio, audio, technology or engineering but are facing a barrier to attendance — whether that is being from a background under-represented in engineering, or facing a financial barrier — to come for free.”
Besides a free ticket, travel and accommodation aid is also available. Tickets are £180 + VAT.
The subsidy is courtesy of sponsors: The bursary scheme exists due to the generous support of bursary scheme sponsors: CGI, BFBS, Global, The Audio Academy, Brun Audio Consulting, Jamie Laundon, PlayIt Software, Bauer Media, News UK, Ann Charles Media, Clockhouse Media and anonymous donors.
TBC Media Ltd.’s Aradhna Tayal Leach said, “We’re really proud that our bursary scheme is returning as we know it makes a huge difference in opening up the technology community and making it more accessible — people have even got jobs from the contacts they have made at our event,”
Application deadline is Nov. 1.
