RTL Today Radio, the new English language web radio station from RTL Luxembourg, has selected Broadcasting Center Europe’s (BCE) StudioTalk to produce and broadcast its visual radio output. The broadcaster needed a visual radio solution which could integrate branding of its new media, synchronize with its radio automation system and broadcast directly on its website.
RTL Today Radio claims that StudioTalk’s fully automated features mean the team can focus on content and shows, while leaving the production and broadcast to the software.
“StudioTalk is an amazing solution, it completely transformed our way of working,” said Gerard Floener, head of Digital Development Radio & deputy head of Radio Programs at RTL Luxembourg. “StudioTalk takes care of everything to let us concentrate on our content and live shows. From a simple touchscreen interface, we can manage the entire workflow, add graphics, titles and even take full control over the system in case of special guests or breaking news!”
According to BCE, installation took less than three months, including cabling, infrastructure and platform configuration. StudioTalk is an all-in-one solution which produces shows, manages content, adds special effects, controls sets, and broadcasts programs on any existing platform. It comes with automated or manual video production and channel branding, as well as advanced monitoring features.
With four PTZ [Pan–Tilt–Zoom] cameras and multiple screens, StudioTalk synchronizes with radio automation systems to broadcast music and news with content on the visual radio screens, both in the studio and on the website. StudioTalk also triggers live shows, manages camera production with the intelligent identification of the speakers, and automatically adds graphic titles with the data encoded in the system.
“StudioTalk is constantly evolving, allowing the radio world to enrich its programs and create new experiences for viewers,” adds BCE Technology and Project director, Olivier Waty. “Radio can continue to deliver audio programs while at the same time produce high quality live video programs. We are glad to take part in the launch of RTL Today Radio, the English-speaking media of Luxembourg.”
RTL Today Radio brings together news, local events, insights, traffic, weather, sports, chat, games, and more. Like the website, it is fun, friendly, interactive, and always a part of the community.
