The organizers of Radio TechCon 2022 on Nov. 28 have released a full program of sessions. The event is taking place at IET London: Savoy Place — the original home of the BBC — and the program includes a salute to the broadcaster’s centenary.
In a session titled “100 Years of BBC Technology in Three Objects,” Rachel Boon, the curator of computing and communications at the Science Museum in London, will introduce three original BBC artifacts from the Science Museum and discuss them with Bill Thompson, BBC R&D’s principal research engineer. The program also includes a session on adaptive podcasting that will explain how BBC R&D technology makes podcasts more relevant to audiences by updating them automatically.
