Radio Sintonía, a prominent station on Fuerteventura in Spain’s Canary Islands, has been broadcasting live daily news, events, programs and music for over 20 years. Operating on six different frequencies, the station focuses on local sports, events and tourism, reflecting its strong community service orientation.
Radio Sintonía’s technical management chose the AEQ Forum IP Split digital console for its main broadcast studio in its latest technical upgrade. The station says the decision was based on the console’s ease of use, operational reliability and high audio quality.
The AEQ Forum IP Split is a modular mixing console designed for on-air broadcasts. It features essential functions such as automatic monitor cut, cough muting, fader start, signaling control, external equipment automation, communications management and intercom capabilities. Its compact design allows it to adapt to various scenarios, including self-operated studios, control rooms, TV production setups, sound production and integration into large installations.
This console combines simplicity with advanced control, supporting basic and complex operations. The Forum IP Split version includes the FR Core modular engine housed in a 3RU chassis. It can accommodate up to six quad-fader modules and a control and monitoring unit.
For connectivity, the system supports AoIP multi-channel input and output cards compatible with the AES67 protocol via Dante technology, enabling seamless integration with equipment from over 300 manufacturers. Additional options include MADI connectivity and up to two internal digital telephone hybrids.
The project was completed in collaboration with system integrator Insertel Canarias.
