Ozen.fm, a digital audio company focused on podcast distribution and monetization, has partnered with Canal Café Brasil, a long-running Brazilian podcast network, to manage the commercial development of the channel’s podcast and digital audio portfolio.
The agreement comes as Brazil’s digital audio market continues to expand. As Latin America’s largest media market, Brazil has seen steady growth in podcast consumption and advertising investment, with local-language content playing a central role in audience engagement.
Founded in 2006, Canal Café Brasil has built an editorial focus on culture, commentary and community engagement. Its portfolio includes the flagship “Café Brasil,” as well as “LiderCast,” which focuses on leadership and entrepreneurship; “Café com Leite,” aimed at families with children ages four to 12; and “Cafézinho,” a short-form commentary series. The network has published nearly 2,500 episodes to date.
Under the agreement, Ozen.fm will take on commercial management of the portfolio, with responsibility for connecting inventory to the digital audio advertising market. Rodrigo Tigre, co-founder and president of Ozen.fm, described Canal Café Brasil as a brand that has helped shape podcasting in Brazil and said the partnership is intended to expand monetization opportunities for established content.
Increasing operational sophistication
The companies position the partnership within a broader trend of maturation in Brazil’s digital audio sector, with increasing operational sophistication, a wider range of formats and a growing focus on long-term revenue strategies.
Rodrigo Tigre, co-founder and president of Ozen.fm, said, “We are very pleased to partner with Canal Café Brasil, a brand that has played an important role in shaping the podcasting landscape in Brazil. Our goal is to unlock new monetization opportunities for high-quality content, connecting creators and publishers with increasingly sophisticated advertising demand.”
Luciano Pires, creator of Canal Café Brasil, said, “Café Brasil has always believed in the power of content with depth, identity, and consistency. Having Ozen.fm as a partner in this monetization process is an important step in strengthening our operations and opening new opportunities for the future of our programs.”
