The largest commercial hit station in French-speaking Switzerland has commissioned Brussels-based Brandy to revisit the design of its sonic branding. One FM needed a package of customized jingles, a tailor-made Top of the Hour jingle as well as functional beds that were contemporary, energetic and musical.
Although The Top of the Hour — the station’s key jingle — is fully custom-made, Brandy’s solution is what it calls a “custom-ization;” it sounds like a made-to-measure package but is actually a rework of existing tracks.
“The jingles add freshness to our programmes and provide great dynamics while keeping a wonderful flow between our tracks,” says Hervé, the station’s L’Happy Hour presenter. “Thanks to its musicality, the build-up in energy, and the powerful vocals, this jingle relaunches the music after the news sublimely.”
Brandy says the reworked jingles have been given their own One FM twist, producing a set of beds for news, weather and traffic that match the station’s personality.
Together with LFM, the commercial market leader in French-speaking Switzerland, One FM is part of Media One Contact, which reaches almost 420,000 listeners every day. With contemporary hits and an upbeat mood, One FM aims for a broad target audience. The station is also the commercial market leader in Geneva.
