Italy’s Audiradio 2025 radio audience survey has launched with 270 participating stations — 18 national and 252 local. The study uses CATI (day-after recall) telephone interviews to measure cumulative reach over 28 days. It follows a standardized approach for all stations while incorporating specific methodologies for national and local broadcasters to track average quarter-hour and daily and weekly reach.
Audience data and planning tapes will be consolidated for national and local stations. From Q3 2025, data will be published quarterly — covering the past three months for national broadcasters and the past six months (rolling average) for local stations.
A passive measurement methodology using SDK (Software Development Kit) technology will also be introduced for stations opting to track on-demand radio consumption, including audio and video streaming on digital devices. This SDK data will be integrated with linear listening data from CATI interviews to provide a total audience measurement for participating broadcasters.
