GatesAir appoints Tamjeed Ahmad regional sales manager for South Asia
Brussels-based media conglomerate IPM Group has announced the full takeover of FM Développement, the holding company of the FM and DAB+ networks of Fun Radio, co-owner of Fun Radio Belgique. IPM Group says it wants to strengthen its cross-media position — Fun Radio joins LN Radio and the TV news station LN24 in the group’s broadcast offering.
Fun Radio Belgique, founded some 35 years ago, has become a solid player in the south of Belgium. In the CIM August 2023 ratings, Fun Radio posted an audience share of 4.39% and a daily reach of 139,000 listeners, putting the station among the top 10 stations in Belgium’s southern region of Wallonia.
In a media statement, IPM Group CEO François le Hodey said that the deal is part of the consolidation in the media sector and the necessity for publishers to strengthen each other facing the technological challenges of the digital economy.
“I’m very happy that Fun Radio becomes part of an enthusiastic and determined family group,” added Grégory Finn, general manager of Fun Radio Belgique. “This will allow us to broaden our operations in future.”
