The IP Showcase will make a return to European live events at IBC2022, live at the RAI Amsterdam in rooms G102/G103.
The IP Showcase is committed to educating attendees at industry events on the business and creative potential of IP media solutions, and is sponsored by industry associations like the Audio Engineering Society, Alliance for IP Media Solutions, Advanced Media Workflow Association, European Broadcasting Union, Society of Motion Picture and Technology Engineers, and the Video Services Forum.
“We’re very excited that the IP Showcase will be part of the show this year,” said Andrew Starks, marketing workgroup chair at AIMS. “So much has happened since we last met in person in Amsterdam. While we’ve done a lot in the virtual realm to keep up the momentum of IP adoption, the IP Showcase at IBC2022 will be a fantastic opportunity for us to report the progress our organizations have made with IP standards, share user stories, and provide resources people can use as they make plans to transition to open-standards IP technology.”
As media operations move toward all-IP connectivity and content delivery the IP Showcase will focus on progress in SMPTE ST 2110, AES 67 and IPMX.
IP Showcase organizers are hosting both technical presentations and demonstrations that provide useful guidance and examples to media organizations making this critical shift. Along with technical paper presentations, the IP Showcase will feature basic tutorials tailored to newcomers in the field of IP video production, as well as case studies from real-world installations.
