International Women’s Podcast Festival rolls into London next month, Oct. 3–4.
The highlight will be Oct. 3 at London’s Southbank Centre, Royal Festival Hall, where “Serial” host and developer Sarah Koenig will discuss the pioneering podcast. “Serial” launched on Oct. 3, 2014, so this is a de facto 10th anniversary.
Oct. 4 will see the main show at the Conference Centre at Coin Street, featuring panels and workshops.
A release elaborates, “The International Women’s Podcast Festival offers a variety of panels, workshops, and networking opportunities for those looking to deepen their podcasting skills and gain exclusive insights from leading women in the industry. Ticket holders will benefit from hands-on experiences, advanced strategies, and direct interactions with top female creators,” along with “have exclusive access to deep-dive discussions, practical workshops, and expert-led panels designed to accelerate careers and enhance audio skills.”
In addition, running concurrently on Oct. 4, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. (local), will be the Global Voices online sessions. Global Voices are something of an enrichment set of panels and discussions.
The show is produced by podcast production specialist Content Is Queen.
