Bertrand will lead the 14-person firm alongside partners Mike Dorris, Brian Sapp, Shaun Dolan and Cameron Boswell. His expertise in broadcast technology and team development aligns with Inrush’s commitment to supporting its clients and growing the radio engineering landscape in the United States.
“We are excited to welcome Rob as a partner,” said Dorris, Inrush’s founder. “He is a well-known technology leader in our industry who deeply values people and the audiences we serve. Rob is a perfect fit for our growing company and the stations that rely on us. We believe his addition will help us expand intelligently while maintaining our focus on people and purpose.”
A notable background
Bertrand most recently served as the technology head at WAMU in Washington, D.C., where he led the construction of the city’s most extensive community antenna system, launched multiplatform content management systems and modernized critical platforms for traffic, automation and CRM. He also guided WAMU’s transition to fully remote production during the pandemic.
Before moving to public media, Bertrand was the market chief engineer for CBS Radio (now Audacy) in New York, supporting multiple newsrooms, a 24/7 operations center and the launch of the CBS Sports Radio Network. He began his career at Greater Media in New Jersey.
Now based in Washington, D.C., Bertrand will serve Inrush’s East Coast clients and help grow the company’s public media practice.
“I’ve admired Inrush’s reputation over the past five years and their innovative approach to systems integration and station support,” said Bertrand. “Their energetic and talented team is committed to recruiting and developing new talent in our mature industry. I’m thrilled to help expand our offerings, team and client base.”
