A recent press release from Xperi DTS makes note that, according to its “Top Most Listened-To Songs In-Vehicle for Q3 2024” data, Shaboozey’s “Bar Song (Tipsy)” takes the top spot in U.S. and globally; Sabrina Carter’s “Espresso” continues hot streak in Top Five and #1 in the U.K.; and Post Malone’s crossover country hit “I Had Some Help” debuts in the Top 5 in U.S. and globally.”
That U.S., U.K. and global data was teased out of the company’s AutoStage in-vehicle platform.
For the RedTech reader, who may not care much about “country” music, there is an importance here. The collection and quality of listener data are undergoing a big change, providing new insights never before available with a deepening granularity across multiple venues.
Xperi Senior Vice President of Broadcast Joe D’Angelo explains, “The trend of artists seamlessly crossing genres and categories appears to be here to stay and, as our Top Most Listened-To Songs In-Vehicle charts confirm, listeners are here for it.”
