Scott Marchand to lead Nautel’s quality assurance plus support and sustain
Wheatstone is bringing virtuality to the upcoming IBC show in the form of its VMX virtual mixing platform.
VMX is a, according to Wheatstone, “server-based and web browser accessible for mixing in any environment on a variety of devices, from recessed touchscreens in the studio to tablets in the ballpark.”
The UI is HTML5 browser-based, adding to its remote purpose. The UI provides several mixer templates including actual matching Wheatstone hardware consoles such as the LXE and Strata.
Flexible routing allows for bringing an input from one location, mixing it with sources from another location, sending the output to a third location, all the while being at a fourth location.
Ain’t modern technology grand?
The company adds that is is AES67-compliant and scalable from a single installation to corporate broadcast networks. Naturally, it is best friends with WheatNet.
Wheatstone will be at Stand 8.A51. The IBC show is IBC Sept. 11–14, in Amsterdam.
