Targetspot has appointed Brian Benedik as strategic advisor. In this role he’ll work to further develop growth opportunities for the company in the digital audio markets.
Benedik is a Syracuse University and Columbia University Executive Program graduate. He served as global chief revenue officer for the audio streaming service Spotify, where he worked from 2013 until 2019.
“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to collaborate with Targetspot, a digital audio pioneer and a very significant player I’ve come across many times in my years in the industry,” said Benedik. “I’m looking forward to working with Alexandre and the company’s managers as we strive to further capture growth opportunities in this booming digital audio market.”
Before joining Spotify, Brian held a number of senior leadership positions with major audio companies in the United States.
These include iHeart Media, Clear Channel as well as Katz Media Group and Katz Media as founder/president of Katz Digital. Since 2019, Benedik has also worked with audio book firm Audible, podcast specialist Sounder.fm, before joining this year gaming company Niantic Labs, as VP global revenue.
“I’m proud to welcome such a well-respected figure of our industry. As a strategic advisor for the company, Brian will be helping us in setting our next strategic milestones in the U.S. and internationally,” said Alexandre Saboundjian, Targetspot CEO and founder. “I’m convinced his experience will be of great assistance to further develop Targetspot as a world leader in the monetization of digital audio.”
