Scott Marchand to lead Nautel’s quality assurance plus support and sustain
DHD Audio has released Version 10.4 of its DeviceOS and Toolbox software, introducing new configuration tools, enhanced audio-over-IP capabilities and two new options: the Routing App and ai-coustics noise reduction.
You can explore the new Routing app here, and listen to a demonstration of ai-coustics nosie reduction here.
Available as a free upgrade for all supported systems, Version 10.4 supports DHD’s DX2, RX2, SX2 and TX2 mixing consoles, XC3, XD3 and XS3 IP cores, and AES67 Ravenna interfaces. The release focuses on simplifying system configuration while giving broadcasters greater control over complex audio networks. A key addition is the new Routing App, which allows users to manage routing and presets directly from the IP core without requiring additional software.
Version 10.4 also introduces three new configuration features. Flex Channels provide access to a broader range of signals by allowing operators to select sources from predefined input lists rather than fixed fader channels, simplifying routing in larger installations.
Channel Categories let users filter input source lists by category, making it easier to locate signals in complex production environments. Meanwhile, Mic Preamp Control allows operators to adjust microphone preamp gain directly from a console touchscreen, the Views App or through the Control API, with settings available across projects.
The update also enhances AES67 audio-over-IP performance. DHD has revised its Precision Time Protocol implementation so that clocks on the secondary network now participate fully in the Best Master Clock Algorithm, improving redundant clock synchronization across an installation. In addition, PTP logging now uses Syslog for centralized diagnostics.
Version 10.4 also adds support for the optional ai-coustics noise reduction feature, further expanding the platform’s processing capabilities.
