The U.K.-headquartered Association for International Broadcasting has announced a landmark partnership arrangement with Radio Taiwan International for this year’s annual journalism and factual programming awards, the AIBs. This will be the 18th year the AIB has staged the awards to celebrate work produced for TV, radio and digital platforms.

The partnership with RTI is central to the continuing success and growth of these renowned and respected awards that showcase outstanding news reporting and factual programming from around the world.”

RTI, Taiwan’s international multimedia broadcaster, can trace its roots back to 1928, making it one of the world’s longest continuously operating broadcasters.
The awards
The AIBs recognize excellence in factual productions across TV, radio and online and attract entries from broadcasters and production companies in over 40 countries. The competition has 18 categories, including daily journalism, investigative documentary, sports journalism and human interest.
Entries for this year’s awards close on July 1. AIB welcomes entries in all languages for any audience – local, regional, national, or international. After shortlisting, the finalists’ work goes to a global panel of judges who decide on the competition’s winners.
The AIBs 2022 ceremony will be at Church House Westminster, London, on November 11, and will be the first live event after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic. The event attracts key opinion leaders within broadcasting and production companies, and in politics and regulation, alongside journalists, editors, producers, and directors.
