Yorkshire Podcast Studios, based in Leeds, United Kingdom, has chosen an AEQ Capitol IP mixing desk as the centerpiece of its main studio upgrade. The company provides studios, consultancy, and human and technical support for podcasting and streaming projects.
The new main studio features three RODE mics, three BirdDog cameras and an Elgato Stream Deck that allows users to self-operate their broadcast with full control of the cameras, graphics and overlays. YPS says it chose the AEQ Capitol for its simple operation, robust design, great configuration flexibility via software and excellent audio quality in the final generated signal.
The AEQ Capitol IP is an eight or 12-fader digital audio mixing console. It features a wide input capacity: four mic/line, 12 analog, four digital stereo AES/EBU (AES3), two digital stereo USB, two optional telephone lines, optional digital multichannel audio links, and 16 or 32 AoIP channels over two ethernet connectors or 64 MADI channels input over optical fiber.
